Dr. Robert H. McCoy, D.D.S.

I have been a resident of Delaware County for most of my life. I am a graduate of Chichester High School and Widener University. After graduating from Widener University, I was employed by Warner Lambert Pharmaceutical Company for four years in the research and development department before deciding on a career change to dentistry. I attended Temple University School of Dentistry and graduated in 1977. I began my professional career in a Morton, PA group dental practice. In 1987, I relocated to Glen Mills, PA and established my dental practice.

I enjoy providing comprehensive dental care for my patients. And I value the trust and confidence they have in me. Whether it is my personal or professional life, I always strive towards excellence. The dental field is always progressing with new technology. This is exciting and I eagerly embrace the innovation and incorporate it into more efficient and effective patient care. Continuing to develop my technical skills, patient care technique and knowledge base separates my quality, oriented dental practice from the average. Staying on the cutting edge of new concepts, materials, procedures, increased patient satisfaction and technology improvements is a sizable commitment. I selectively choose continuing education topics that are directly applicable to my patients comfort and quality of care.

I have completed hundreds of hours of study in seminars, certifications and self instructional programs in the areas of practice administration, self improvement, and all areas of general dentistry inclusive of cosmetic, restorative, occlusion (TMJ), implants, crown and bridge, in-office whitening, CEREC and Invisalign Orthodontics. My primary focus is providing quality comprehensive dental care with predictable long-term success for my patients. I have been an advocate of the Dawson Philosophy for over 25 years. My primary focus is on memberships with the following organizations: American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Endodontic Society, Chester-Delaware County Dental Society

PERSONAL
I have been married to my lovely wife, Eleanor, since 1965 and have three children. Our three children have blessed us with five grandchildren. In my free time I enjoy golfing, home remodeling and spending time with my family. I am a parishoner at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kennett Square, PA. I am also a member at the Kennett Square Golf and Country Club.
